I let the shells dry up and smush them small for the quail. I feed oyster shell to the chickens, and layer feed.don't you feed the shells back to your birds ??

Smart yaks. And your going to start another breeding pen ?I think I am going to have to find MORE HAYwe are on the fourth bale already. Can't get to the stuff I put up because Wagoner and Nostril are "guarding"/in the paddock that you need to go thru to get to it.
And I am not even feeding the main herd yet.
Same here, but i think its in the 50s.rain all day here and 40s

We went through this. Your hands are strong and can crush the egg smaller. I did it and they started eating eggs.and why NOT ??? it works for me , and very satisfying to squeeze the eggs until they burst open
