I would wait on the shell until they actually start laying. At least that is what I did with mine. and wait until you try to crack a duck egg open OMG shells are NOTHING like a chickens

my scovy eggs are very Smooth like porceline and tuff as nails to crack open, really have to give them a smack.

Hubby started on the hay loft today.

The frame is done. I need to clean the wood and paint it. Then the plywood can go on.

There are generally gaps all around the edges. The loft is not going to cover the whole upstairs area, just half the barn.

hopefully you can get small enough bales that they are easy to get up with out mechanical help to get them in. The ones I bought this year were so heavy that the bobcat could not lift them up for a second row on the bales.

thats the way Roberts cabin is. Needs some steps though. Ladder is narrow
