Mine got sick from medicated feed. I think that’s why I had trouble with sour butt, which is STILL going on after several rounds of treatment.

4 yrs ago give or take my flock had Suspected CRD . Going by my symptoms . I tried treating and then I rehomed the whole damn flock. I then restocked and some got sick again. So I put them on denaguard as a preventive. MG CRD is everywhere. They more then likely got it from the grass clippings I was feeding them. I havent had an outbreak in years and I havent gave them the meds either. I have lost plenty to other reasons like cocci .

and you never have any die? Do they tell you when someone is sick or dies?

you mean me and chicks ?? Yes I always know about any chicks dieing. and most of the adults as well. Most seem to go from old age, or predators or stupidity on their parts. Escape from the pen and you are on your own.

Twist I’m trying to figure out when my ducks will start laying. They were hatched in June/July. I’m thinking they will start to lay in the spring.

mine were middle or end of sept hatch and started last spring , I think they took a little longer then LF chickens but not by much.

Oh yeah I agree with that. No outside chicks or birds. It is amazing you have never had a sick chick or chicken.

well if I have it sure hasn't spread to any of the rest. Noticed I have one have with bumble foot so she may be going to the great beyond next week.
