evening Alley how was your day/evening ??
Hey Twist :frow Day has been decent. Got everyone taken care of outside and then a trip to Walmart for food. Need to clean my room still but I’m not really in the mood. Oh I did something to my right foot and can’t put weight on it. So there’s that.

How’ve you been?

OH I look every time I go to Runnings BUT the "force" is strong in me and so far have resisted. Even turned down a bunch (like 25 or more) of "free chicks" this spring as they weren't the breeds/sexes I wanted and I am not doing two broody/maternity wards.
I say that too, but I usually look several times and think about where I could stash them before prying myself from the tanks.

and ALL of the rest of the times ???? I have NEVER had to medicate a bird at the farm and I don't buy medicated feed either.
4 yrs ago give or take my flock had Suspected CRD . Going by my symptoms . I tried treating and then I rehomed the whole damn flock. I then restocked and some got sick again. So I put them on denaguard as a preventive. MG CRD is everywhere. They more then likely got it from the grass clippings I was feeding them. I havent had an outbreak in years and I havent gave them the meds either. I have lost plenty to other reasons like cocci .
I have never bought medicated feed either and yours have not gotten sick like this from pure luck

not to bad, will have the vet check the new girls in about a week and a half so might been able to get in one more possible breeding time if they are "open" before the end of the season.

And have decided that Beary is definitely going to freezer camp when Hailey joins the new girls and they ALL join the main herd.

Also have most of the logistic's figured out on how and where as well. Hen's will be eating good for a couple days.
