Granny's gone and done it again

Neither have I. I am being told I am wrong to not worm my birds twice a year. Cause you know worms are bad.

No, I am not joking. Adults are telling new people to worm their flock every Spring and Fall and that you can eat the eggs during the withdrawal period.
:th mine get pumpkin and squash summer/fall and early winter. I figure that's good enough.

And the only yak's that ever got an antibiotic were Martinika for the wound (bad) on her hip and then Granola because she had an injection site reaction and the vet did that one. Other wise the yaks just get their annual 7-way booster shot. And that year's calves get two a month apart.

I am talking to DH about adding some Yaks.....

No this is worming your chickens with Ivermectin and Piperazine and etc... I do squash and pumpkin along with DE and such. Medications should only be used if needed. Not wily Nily

Glad you left the group. From your description they are clearly willing to believe the "more is better" people rather than find out the facts. I guess all my chickens are dead, I just don't know it, because I've never wormed them with anything. Have had chickens since June 2012.

I have never ran into people who raise their own and do that. To me you might as well g eat out of the grocery store

I couldnt find it but found orange oil and I put it right on the furnace filter . I can smell it on my fingers and I washed them. LOL I put it back and found the peppermint.

We have floor vents. Single wides suck for some things. I really wish the stupid tree in the back yard would fall into this place.
