I’m thinking a hawk got the one in the pool, either dropped it there or the guinea went in trying to get away, and couldn’t get out. The feathers were scattered like a fight, not like a dog/coyote. Also hawk makes sense because the pool area is fenced.

And obvs Sarah’s dog god at least one.

Instead of buying chips for myself this month I decided to try something new. Veggie chips which are mostly root veggies made like chips and are not good and hummus chips made w/ chick pea flour and rice flour and very good .

I’m inclined to agree. I know Josie has killed lots of birds, but I was not leaving her outside unattended for hours on end. I did my best to make sure the birds were safe by blocking holes in the fence, keeping Josie on a leash, training to desensitize, etc. Sarah just opens the door and lets them out. It had gotten better, but I think the dog has figured out how to go under the electric wire.

Shes your dog , your chickens. Makes a difference. Sarah needs to compensate you. Put your trail cam out there maybe ?

Even though we spent a while shopping today i still managed to get some stuff done. I cut a lot of pieces of plywood cut to block wind for the rabbits and quail. Also cut a pop door for the CL so i can close the big window. The coop will stay warmer that way.

Look at these fuzzy boys! Apparently they’re stunted. The rancher up the road stopped by the other day and said they just don’t grow right when they’re on a bottle. Fine by me, we can keep them longer that way. Bonus pic of Jewel eyeing the hot wire.
