Granny's gone and done it again

“A Christmas Poem”
I have a list of folks I know, all written in a book,
and every year when Christmas comes, I go and take a look,
and that is when I realize that these names are a part
not of the book they are written in, but really of my heart.

For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,
and in the meeting they’ve become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I really feel that I am composed of each remembered name.

And while you may not be aware of any special link,
just meeting you has changed my life a lot more than you think.
For once I’ve met somebody, the years cannot erase
the memory of a pleasant word or of a friendly face.

So never think my Christmas cards are just a mere routine
of names upon a Christmas list, forgotten in between,
for when I send a Christmas card that is addressed to you,
it is because you are on the list that I am indebted to.

For I am but a total of the many folks I met,
and you happen to be one of those I prefer not to forget;
and whether I have known you for many years or few,
in some way you have a part in shaping things I do.

And every year when Christmas comes, I realize anew,
the best gifts life can offer is meeting folks like you.
And may the spirit of Christmas that forever endures
leave its richest blessings in the hearts of you and yours.

Yes , it is . :D
Winter solstice wasnt the longest night. This is. I didnt hear from any of the boys. Didnt see any Santa posts. I hope they had a good Christmas . I got one card from one sister that was it. The rest all came from you guys. Of course I didnt send any either but past Christmases tells me it dont matter if I do or not.
Still watching untold stories of the ER. Maybe I can go to sleep early tonight:confused:

It was hilarious. I had several pockets with glitter. The table and floor was covered.
LOLOL
Not sure why Im laughing. The card we got from Misty, She said Tom you look good in pink. I was very puzzled about it. Til I looked at Tom. How she knew he would open that is beyond me but he was coated in pink glitter.!!

We agreed to not go out driving for lights, then dad said “welp, I have to make a phone call.” I kept wandering by his office and could hear the other guy saying stuff about cemeteries, black top ending, old churches, etc. Then dad tells us to load up in the car. We drive around lost for about 20 minutes then find the most gorgeous display of lights I’ve seen recently, just at two houses.

Has pert been around? After the lights dad decides we’re going to find some foxfire. So the kids and I close our eyes (to preserve our night vision) and dad drives around to a few places he thinks we could find it. He also called a few local older men to see if they knew. We couldn’t find any, but we had a good time. :love
