Granny's gone and done it again

Went out to feed critters. Got 8 eggs. Fed them to cats as i have no water to wash them. Not that cold to me. Dh said it was terribly cold.

Bet teh cats appreciated it - suppose you could have just held onto them and washed them once the water is back to running. I'm not a washer myself so it wouldn't have held me back, lol.

I promised my dog I'd pick her up some cookies while I was out. So a trip to the pet store at some point today. Gotta avoid the live animals. Last time I walked out with 2 guinea pigs

Evil plot (aka forcing the chicken issue) is coming along - FIL will be here for dinner tomorrow night and I spent today coming up with the ideas for the brooder box I want built so will be breaking them out to show FIL and DH. I have to keep *my* plans ridiculously simple because it is an absolute guarantee that the boys will feel the need to "dress them up" (they are like Tim Taylor with the love of "more power" - everything has to be bigger and better), who knows what I'll actually end up getting when they're done. I'm really kind of excited about it - I found online that is built from panels so when you aren't brooding it just all comes apart and stores away easy. That's kind of important because I'll have to store it in DH's shop and need to take up as little room as possible with "chicken crap", lol, this way I can put it up in the rafters the 46+ weeks a year it isn't in use.

Oh, I feel the same way with my grandma. She's from England too where they just have some interesting humor. Not trying to offend any British people by the way, because I honestly don't care, but "true Americans" are so horrified. Lol, my grandma makes horrible comments and she's half deaf so she practically yells them.

Two weeks ago it was 80*. The kids wore shorts to school. :/

A good pizza is the best thing ever --- the local pizza place here in the town we live in is SOOOO good, it's the only place we'll get pizza from now and was DH's favorite way back when he lived here last (when we met) - he loves it so much I once flew a pizza back with me from here to NC for him when I had come out with the kids for a visit with the family and he wasn't able to get leave to come with us. We have 2 pizza joints in town but I don't care for em and an hour wait is too long. And that's before you go to pick it up and then they tell you another 20. My favorite is a place down in Clearwater Florida called Post Corner. We vacation there for a week and we eat there a couple times. I can't pass up a good pizza
