I invited both granny and cap to my SIL pottery page.

Camp those eggs are beautiful! I hope you have so many chicks running around that you don’t know where to put them all![]()
I hope he finds a good home, poor itchy thing.Hank made the “breaking news” on the humane society’s Facebook page!
Not sure how you feel? You should be proud as can be!!Robert was a huge help. I loaded my arms up bringing groceries in and I got in the door and groaned. Said I took too many. He dropped his, told me to drop mine. Took my smoke and threw it in the sink then sat me down and finished up on his own. He is taking this "take care of mom" thing serious. Not sure how I feel about that.
Sorry about your nana. My mom would have done the same thing, but she missed the Right to Die laws in Ca by over 10 yrs. It would have been a comfort to her to know she had the option, even if she didn't use it.Oh there’s bully breed in there but he’s got a sweet pettable face. I hope they find a good home for him.
Bad news from the motherland. They’re starting to look at assisted end of life for my nana. (Yes it’s legal in Canada, yes there’s hoops to jump through to mitigate abuse of the system - gotta see three different doctors to agree to it etc)
Red is just hanging out in the brooder. She’s eating and pooping but...sigh. How much time do I give her to turn around? Do I try to give her another epsom salt soak?
h2o, how do you get that? It says they can't sell in CA (because we are too stupid to make decisions for ourselvesI found a soap that works wonders if you can get it. I even use it on me at times.

I hope he finds a good home, poor itchy thing. In CA, that dog would automatically be called a pit mix. I bet he's beautiful with healthy skin.
Is he neutered?

As for the hen, does she seem particularly heavy for her size? That would indicate internal laying, along with the penguin stance (nothing else I know of that causes that). Since she hasn't laid in a year, it is probably not egg binding. Ascites would show with a soft squishy "belly." There is no cure for internal laying that I have seen. As long as she is eating, she is doing fine. You can let her live out her life and decide on action later when she acts like she's in pain or stops eating and walking. If it seems like one of the other things, you can try treatment, but personally, I don't like putting them through too much.

If you can use it on cats, my sis may want to try it. We have a pipeline for out of state help getting things to us.![]()
haha! Stir the eggs... I remember that. Some people lift up one end of the bator and do the other side the next day. Hold it up with a block of wood or something.Camping, LOL I was gonna say Just do a Sally. She will stick her hand in there and stir. After a few days you can candle and reduce the #s
So are curs from hunting stock? I do like the look of them. (I have to read your article.) The pits, of course, are from fighting stock. Traditionally, they were extremely submissive to people, but all the random breeding nowadays, you just never know.A pretty cur with glass eyes:

A neat article:

I was always back and forth on whether Josie had pit or cur. A dog breeder the other day said a lot of Josie’s dumb quirks and rambunctious tendencies are cur traits. Josie has a blue spot in her eye, and they call that “cracked.”
Do you still have him Camping ? I seen where people had raised money for him.

Those are beautiful eggs. Hope they are all pullets!
