One question. Foster to adopt home? Sooo. It’s a foster home or a foster fail (where they foster and keep)

He’s still under the “ownership” of the rescue, and they’re paying for his treatments as far as I know. They are still taking donations for him.

I think “foster to adopt” is borrowed from human terminology, but I have heard of it recently. Some friends were fostering a dog that is heartworm positive. They wanted to keep him, but couldn’t afford the heartworm treatments. So they’re fostering to adopt: the organization is covering treatments, and when he is healthy then they will adopt him.

Update on Hank. They renamed him Maxwell. I have such a bad taste in my mouth over this whole ordeal. Those two ladies caused so much undue stress and anxiety, and they were incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. I should have never been involved in any of their drama. But at least the pup will have a good home.

The humane society is. The other says they’re 501c3 but I don’t know how to check.
