Well. Lost crazy white chicken today. Suspect hawk or other large raptor. Very hungry large raptor. Not much left but feathers.

Oh no, sorry you lost one. I had a chick dead in the brooder this morning.

Oh yeah. Spending the day grooming for the dog show tomorrow. Should be fun in the rain.

They brought Tom back to the room and I seen a tube type thing in the bed. Being me I had to know what it was. I had to touch it.I looked to make sure they didnt have a cath on him and assumed what ever this was it wasnt attached to anything. So I picked it up and it looked like a tiny amount of blood in it and then I seen a corn flake looking thing. I squeezed it then tugged on it trying to pick it up for a closed look but he was laying on it. Any guesses yet ?

I am pleased i got the new feeder put in the cage i ripped the old feeder out of. Then i cut a bunch of boards and plywood and fixed the hole, as the old feeder needed redesigning. And i took the plywood off the other side and put a window in it so they can look out. The silly things get excited when they see me coming. And i figure more light coming in is good.

I just came in from the workshop. Spent an hour in there this evening, cut a drawer in half and made a rabbit nest box out of it. And painted it. All it needs tomorrow is the hinges on the top.

Morning. Boy did I sleep. I have the biggest hang over ever. Tom said he has the chills. That is a side effect of the transfusion. I got coffee today ! Also a side effect.
Mad cause I have to go to town today for Roberts meds. I was only there twice . They know he is my son and I pick his meds up. He knows not to wait til the last second.

A friend is going to pick meds up for me and feed the chickens when she gets here. What a relief . Now just need to worry about food. Soft diet.
