Granny's gone and done it again

Ran outta chicken feed, so chickens got leftover biscuits & cornbread today. Granny I have 2 panels made of dogwire stapled to 1x2 that I use to section off my pens when introducing 8 week olds. I try to keep mine in groups of 8 hens + 1 roo.
Is that what thats called , dog wire ? It had a sliding door but I just zip tied another piece of wire over it.

Looks great granny!

I learned that the rules that Jewel and Jasper follow at the farm apparently don't apply to the pond. They were both in prey overdrive. Jasper would dive in and swim after them. Jewel is too dainty, so she stayed on the shore. Jasper pounced the smaller blue baby and held her underwater. When he couldn't see her he moved, and she swam halfway across the pond under the water. When she finally surfaced only her head and highest part of her wings were above water. I was hollering at both and neither were listening, so when Jasper ran by I kicked him. That got his attention, and also broke two of my toes I think. They immediately turned purple. I have some degeneration in the bones of my feet, so it guess I'm fragile. Jasper didn't seem phased. :/

We'll try leashes (and no kids) next time. Maybe having chickens over there will help, too. If that doesn't work, there's always the shock collars.

I have 6 hens and 2 roos far as I can tell. the 2 lighter jubilees are the roos. I ended up with about 6x12 ft. of floor space. I didnt measure but I had 4 of them in a 2x3 ft. brooder . Pitiful .

thank you.. Oh your poor toes. Isnt it odd how they turn like that when they know they arent supposed to and they know you cant catch them. Good thing labs have gentle mouths. Bet the next time they go out they will head that way.

WooHoo - it ended up NOT snowing last night so DS was up and out to school right on schedule this morning :weee -- of course they are calling for 2-5 inches of snow tonight so    (I'll be surprised if we get an inch).

Quiet sort of day with DH - I've been busy doing all sorts of things I have been meaning to get done around here and he has been finishing little chores I had been asking him to get around to (hung my produce basket thing, put up the new shower curtain rod, etc)....I like days where you feel like you're accomplishing things!
Hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday!!

I love a day like that. Why is he home? I must have missed that
