Morning all, another rough night. Must be my new normal.

Big birds....like a emu!? Pro I think I’m on to something lol

Well emu would for sure mess up the two doors down neighbor’s chihuahua mix that keeps trying to get at the chickens! (Honestly I wonder if I just have unachievable expectations of dog ownership. Is it too much to ask to 1- train your dog, 2 - manage your dog(s) so they’re not barking 24/7 and 3 - keep your dog contained on your own property?!?!)

Maybe I need donkeys. But donkeys wouldn’t do anything for hawks. And donkeys = money with vet, ferrier etc.

Buckys spurs are starting to come in. Little nubbins at least. And he’s still a good lad with me so. Yay.

I dunno. Am I rolling the dice with a September order? Yes. But will I? It will give me something to look forward to. So...yay? Ugh. Freaking vnd. Freaking irresponsible people moving their chickens and not practicing good biosecurity!! (Not that I’m perfect with this either. Wild birds can get into the coop proper and run. But..)

Star, that isn't unreasonable to expect them to manage their dog. Makes me mad when folks do that. There are people at the other end of our road that let their dogs run, they have a bulldog and a Great Pyrenees. They have been down here twice. Hoping they don't come back.

I’m talking yelling, cussing and crazy hand gestures. He comes up and eats the cats food. I had a escaped bird (the crazy frizzle) and I had to go back and catch her so I could leave to get groceries. Because she’s safe from our dog but not everyone else’s.

Drives me crazy. Peach is good with the girls...but not everyone obviously spends the time and effort with their dogs like I do. (I shouldn’t say that. I never had to train her out of harming chickens. She knew they were members of the pack. Probably helped I had guinea pigs when she was a pup and introduced them in a similar way)

I get predator issues. Coyotes. Hawks. They happen. They’re trying to feed themselves or their young. But domesticated dogs...cause the owners too much of an idiot...that’s what gets me.

I wish I was soaking my aches and pains away. I went to bed around 3am til 7and I woke up peeing. Ya, Time to get some pads for the bed I guess. I dont want to accept it . I know those pills are doing part of it and now that they have been doubled its worse. Neurotin for nerve pain. I dont know why Im telling it. I guess I tell everything I know.
My elbow is no better , In fact its worse. swelling up and it hurts to open the sliding door or even flushing the toilet .

Robert likes my chicken and rice, he always eats it. Except for yesterday. He dont like it . Its too soupy . I know thats not why. Mama was trying to be sneaky and I subbed veggie broth for chicken. Big fail !LOL
