Now I’m just not going to shut up. Mwahaha. The girls were out free ranging and a hawk was in one of the eucalyptus trees out back. So I planted peach in the cluckers’ midst as a deterrent.

I pretty much have to go for big birds I think. The little ones get hawked. Sansa, my Crazy White Chicken...

Not a filter. But I think it’s a cool effect with the sun gleaming like that. Though dangit did u just catch red pooping or something? Dangit red!!

Morning y’all. Today is going to be a busy one I think. Going to clean the coop, do some gardening, do some gardening planning (we took out the huge agave of death out front and put it in a barrel. Thank gosh, I hate that thing. It stabs and jabs and is generally not nice!) and have to do some laundry and housework in there too. Going to compose my chicken wish list and put in a fall order too I think. If I can get the breeds I want. Hopefully. Think I am going to stick with my pet chicken. They may be further away but I do like their variety and the fact that I don’t need to order as many chicks as the others.
