The exact cause of vasculitis is not known, but the genetic makeup of the patient, autoimmune diseases, certain infections and medicines are said to trigger vasculitis. Symptoms of vasculitis vary based on the type and often result from reduced blood flow to tissues and some of the generally noted symptoms include fever, headache and fatigue. Treatment aims at controlling inflammation and preventing relapse. Any underlying condition which triggers vasculitis must be treated by using suitable medication or surgery.

SO glad you got a Dr and a nurse you "enjoyed"

Since the 1960s most endocrinologists have referred to the forms of CAH by the traditional names in the left column, which generally correspond to the deficient enzyme activity. As exact structures and genes for the enzymes were identified in the 1980s, most of the enzymes were found to be cytochrome P450 oxidases and were renamed to reflect this. In some cases, more than one enzyme was found to participate in a reaction, and in other cases a single enzyme mediated in more than one reaction. There was also variation in different tissues and mammalian species.
I was their guinea pig in the 80s :frow It was horrid but I did it for 2 reasons. One in hopes it would help others like me and 2 the top drs wanted to treat me for free. So they could learn. It was a teaching hospital and I was w/ one of the top endo drs. there were. I remember standing buck naked in the middle of a room w/ a circle of drs. standing around me discussing my body type like muscles ect..

1,093,310 newborns were screened between 1980 and 1988, of whom 77 had congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Thus, world-wide incidence of this disorder was estimated at 1:14,199 live births for homozygous patients, 1:60 for heterozygous subjects, with a gene frequency of 0.0083.
