Granny's gone and done it again

Got to look over the surviving ducks today. 8 were either lucky or smart enough to survive the winter. 2 older hens and then 6 of all of last years lings and of course they are ALL drakes. :barnie:th
sorry to hear. Their not to old to lay are they?

sorry I dont explain right. So again, does yours have more cattle because of the white ?

NO !!! The white in mine is connected to the "Royal/piebald" color. a Trim (like Granny) just mean's they are carrying 1 royal gene instead of 2.

To get a golden you need 1 golden gene from each parent.

LOL Ok

NONE of my yaks that have had the "NEW" dna test which IYAK requires on the parents as well as the calf to be registered. have enough cattle genes to fall into the hybred category. And are considered "full yak"

have the Co. girls had the test done ?

not with IYAK but with US YAKS yes and according to their testing lab. All three are 100% yak. Will be interesting to she what IYAK say's this fall when I register their calves. AND SURPRISE SURPRISE I am ok with them having bulls as I can try to sell unrelated "starter herds"

I don't know if Sunny (the bully girl) has any golden in her heritage or not. BUT she would be the best bet to keep her son as future herd bull and then sell her off. The other 2 are mother and daughter.
