Granny's gone and done it again

everything was high. Nitrites, nitrates and ammonia . We decided its most likely the used gravel. Could possibly be the rock but I really scrubbed that down good in hot water and the gravel was pretty nasty although I swish rinsed it a number of times its almost impossible to get clean.
It is likely just the tank starting to get the chemistry started. This is why you set the tank up and let it work for a while with maybe 2 tough fish in it.

Good morning all. That goat. LOL Reminds me of a lab pup.
Cap, did you find the roo?
Fish are all good but the snail never moved off its back and I assume to be quite dead.
I will have a hard time getting my fish back from Tom as he is smitten.
Cap, it reads like there is a way over crowding of fish in the tank. I hope its just the gravel and not my rocks. I am going to change the gravel out and do a few water changes then wait some more . Hopefully I can get it tested again.
I copied a joke but decided it wasnt really funny so no joke today. LOL

And no, I have not seen the rooster. The dog was running off something in the woods on the far side of the driveway. Might have been a critter, could have been the roo. Though she generally ignores chickens, maybe she thought it didn't belong since it was over there. I am in no shape to go through the woods and up and down hills looking for a stray rooster. I need to get ready for this coop delivery. Already moved some chain link fence and part of the wood pile. Taking a cooling break now.
The best thing for your tank might be adding gravel from an established tank, or dirty filter material to get those good bacteria. Or even water from another tank might help.
