Granny's gone and done it again

One of my leghorns molted like that. I thought the young roos were being too aggressive, then I saw her vent was also bald. She’s been hanging with the goats while she grows back in.

@Wishing4Wings 4w I really want to hear your opinion on this!
Hi Benny! I agree with most of what that guy said. Sadly it's true what's going on in L.A. It's been coming for a long time, and has spread, to a lesser degree, along most of the US Pacific coastal areas, including my home town. :hmm Mild winters and lenient vagrancy policies draw folks from all over. Middle class is shrinking rapidly here, and our government is so dysfunctional, there doesn't seem to be much chance of things getting better soon. People are too busy taking sides to solve the problems, and the "news" media is the worst offender... in a very un-newsworthy way, they often only report things that support their own political agenda (google & facebook included). It's pretty ridiculous. I guess when the plague finally takes hold down there, folks will wake up and seriously work to address the problem... IF, and that's a big IF, the media reports the event truthfully.

You couldn't pay me to live in the L.A. metro area, but I've felt that way for over 40 years! Thank goodness my son is going to college in Montana (in 2 days!!!). We will be spending time up there and who knows, maybe end up moving some day.

Lol yes. She’s been laying for years.

I don’t think a roo would knock feathers off her vent. But she was missing wing, breast, belly, etc. It started with a bald patch on her back, and then she was naked. Since they’re growing back so quickly, I know it wasn’t the roos.
