Guppys aint one to really pick. pretty laid back. I wonder if they are 2 different births.

Speaking of pretty laid back... I was watching a show about orcas that grab a great white shark, turn it on its back until it goes into catatonic state and suffocates. Then the orca makes a quick incision and takes the shark's liver out for nom noms. Don't get any orcas in your tanks or they will eat ALL the guppies!

What I found I wanted fish wise was that beautiful blue fish I have been talking about. they are $10.00 and I decided 3 would be ok for this tank. Roberts worker wants a tank now and she would take 2 min giving us free shipping. Tom knocked that idea down saying they get too big for this tank.

How long will it take for the fish to outgrow the tank? I thought that had to do with limiting food. Did you ever read Fish Out of Water when you were a kid? My favorite!!! Mr. Carp said the fish should only get just a pinch of food, or you never know what will happen!

well, there called Tampa bay cichlids. beautiful fish.
No, I never seen that book before. LOL
They claim a fish will only grow as big as its surrounds and that was believed for many yrs. but whats happening is the body will slow down but the liver and all the other bits dont and it ends up killing the fish.

I never seen a tomato seed sprout inside a tomato before ! Now had I planted them nothing would of happened

Completely a learned behavior. They are intelligent animals. Only 2 known places it's happened... South Africa, with 2 male orca as suspects, and a small pod up near the Farallon Islands, right off the coast of SanFrancisco, where great whites come to hunt seals. Orcas are rare there, and both time a shark was killed, ALL the other white sharks disappeared for the remainder of the hunting season. Turns out they went to Hawaii!! OR at least one did- they had a tracking device on it. How do you figure they all knew to leave? Mystery still not solved.

You have ZERO patience!! No hurry. Get your tanks up and running perfectly so when you do get a blue fish, it has the best chance to survive the shipping.
By the way, one of our favorite sushi restaurants is called Blue Fish.
