Granny's gone and done it again

Monday ended up being a bit of a mixed bag. was so cold that the vaccine was starting to get slushy. Finger's were frozenish and not working correctly.

The main herd was NOT locked up so had to round them up and drive them into the middle tit and then into the rodeo grounds. About 1/2 of them decided to go thru the alley and chute system backwards. Pulled the wrong calf so ended up going into the trailer and pulling out the one I thought was Maiah's bull. The 2 golden calves went ape chit and tried to pound/gore both Rod and myself.

Hailey's calf is still with her. Got the other 6 calves up with the yearling heifers. Curly Sue got excited as she is NO longer the smallest/or second smallest.

As brother and I were leaving the main herd was back out in the big pasture and here is the other calf I kept back nursing on 19. SOOOOOO I have no idea if that calf is 19's or her daughter Maiah's calf. :barnie:he

Ran errands yesterday and them made a Sour Cream Raisin pie, stuffed peppers and mashed taters for dinner. And cooked down another 2 pop flats of maters.

Double checked with Ins agent for the farm as I got another bill for an additional 68 bucks. Turned out to be because I added more animals to the policy and they upped the insured value to 42,000 for all females over 2 and then Porter and Tibbits.

Also made sure that I am covered for "accidently shooting" yep I am, HUMMMMMM

If they are still nursing I probably would of left those. You dont want more babies this winter do you ?

won't have an more calves until next year. Granola is a NICE big girl and pretty mellow.
