Granny's gone and done it again

For me, the only good coffee tastes like hot chocolate... and doesn't have any coffee in it. :D

I asked DH to pick up creamer for me. I don’t drink coffee every day but I made a pot this morning and ran out. He brought me chocolate milk. :barnie

So I have this weird thing about foods involving chocolate. I love a good hot mocha, but I don’t like chocolate-flavored creamers. Similarly, I can’t stand Reese’s peanut butter cups/trees/pumpkins/eggs. But I super love the miniature cups, and the itty bitty ones.

McDonald’s has good coffee.
Granny likes loads of creamer in her coffee. Like beige instead of black. Too many of those little cup-lettes for her to have to open! hahahaa But desperation can inspire.

How's the house hunting, camping?

I'm kind of that way about my chocolate. Don't care for other flavors mixed in unless it's nuts or mint. And the older I get the fussier I am about the quality... only the good stuff please!

Free firewood ! Just in time too
Unless it is pine. I won't burn pine even if it drops on its own unless there are no other options. Given I live in the northeast rather than the Pacific northwest, I can choose hardwoods.

I’m assuming it being up in town competition is fierce and I just didn’t make the cut. Sigh.
Maybe. Pisses me off that businesses don't have the decency to get back to applicants to let them know they should stop holding their breath. What ever happened to common curtesy?????

I give you a sweet goodnight
That was quite neat, thanks. Never would have guessed one could have clownfish babies in a home setup.

I say the dog used some halloween magic to set the alarm off and held back on purpose for that chicken leg.
:lau
I bet you are right.

My wife and daughters would agree with you 100%. Of course they also like the coffee that tastes like tea ... and doesn't have any coffee in it.

They have delicious, sugary iced and blended concoctions at McDonald’s. DH likes caramel frappes.

DH’s godmother has sent some links, but we haven’t gotten anything solid. DH will meet with a realtor soon; they have access to more listings than we can see online.

The impersonal internet. That's what happened.

Mint tea is good on a cold day, but that's about it for me. No alcohol either, so I'm a cheap date! :D

We burn mostly oak and madrone. Pine doesn't put out enough btu's to bother with all the ash and soot it makes. My dad is having a pine cut and removed and he will keep the trunk to dry and burn next year. Trunk pieces don't have as much sap, so you avoid the soot problem. Sometimes a mix of wood in the stove is good. Wetter logs mixed with older ones that are too dry can keep ya toasty!

We have been looking at properties in Montana. They have basements there! Makes a house have almost twice the space you'd expect. I guess not many basements in LA... water table too high? I remember ours in New Jersey. It was a huge playroom and we could make a mess!
