what's wrong with ivy ???
Since we don't get cold temps, it is extremely hard to control once it starts. For 13 yrs I have been diligent about holding the line where it comes over from the neighbors, but last two years I have let it go. We will be solid ivy if I don't pull it out.

It will get up in the trees and pull them over AND it is a favorite haunt of RATS. You can find huge rat nests in big clumps of ivy. Terrible stuff in this climate.

We don't heat the house above 60, but I have 2 heat lamps running (for Seramas and dogs in the garage) and we keep an electric heater going in #1's room for the caged birds. Too cold for them otherwise.

Guess I should say my house is total electric. including the heat lamps I have going outside.

LOL we had an electrician come out from the co-op to see why the bill on the farm was so high, and he said go propane or gas as much as you can MUCH cheaper .
