Got the licks tubs put out and the 2 almost empty ones and a new one put in with the heifers and weanlings. Got the Rodeo grounds escape proofed and moved the 4 bulls up there , Got the water shut off in the south tit for the winter. Then went in for coffee and to warm up fingers' Rod looks out to see if Curly has her head buried in a lick tub (like normal) NOPE BUT 5 of the weanlings are out of the fence and grazing in the yard. Thankfully when we went down there they all scampered back thru the downed section of the electric fence to join the rest of them. Got the fence straightened out and tightened. Then Rod and I started to work on the crunched feeder before I had to head back into town.

found her in the old "horse" barn back in the far stall. She is now down in the burn pit. after finding enough chain to drag her out of the barn and then carried down in the bobcat's grapple.

Funny thing was she looked and acted totally fine /nice and plump even with nursing 2 calves. When we gave the whole main herd their shots a couple weeks ago.

it wasn't an hour after we were done down in the tit and the "girls/breeding ones" had already found the new licks tub and had it surrounded busy going to town.

Honestly that is what I truly suspect after all she was almost 21 so a VERY good age. I had her for 4 years of which she could have calved 3 times. Got 2 bull calves and then she "saved" Star's heifer calf this year. NOT sure I could have ever hope for more from her.

And I have her bloodlines in spades as Maiah is her daughter and then also 2 grand-daughters of hers as well.
