They (adults) ONLY get shots once a year usually in October. AND I did checkthe expiration date before dosing and used the same brand as always. ACTUALLY it was the same bottle as last year as well.

I had wondered about the effect of nursing two calves at her age.

we/I had been keeping a very close eye on 19 and honestly she wasn't loosing a bit of condition.

nope May or June last year . Sheila in August same year Enola I suspect it was calving issues as we did find a dead calf the same time we found her.

that's why I swore NEVER again would I NOT have the cow's pg tested so we know who to keep an eye on. Didn't do that for calf crop of 2018

well, whats done is done. I think probably a combo of age and winter maybe. Im sorry for the loss. She was a good one no doubt taking on another calf to raise .

BUT in the wild the yak cow's normally only calve every 2 to 3 years.
