Guten Morgen !!

Hope this fine Thursday morning finds you all hale and hearty! A cold, misty day here....not quite wet enough to consider it rain, one of those typical PNW days, lol.
One month and one day until the kids get here for their visit.....

I think between that and the obligations I have this month as far as being at the transplant meetings for my sister I'm going to table the job search until after the kids have come and gone -- at this point if I did find something I wouldn't be in a position to take any time off while they are here and I have no intention of wasting ANY part of their visit with silly things like working, lol.

Had a productive day yesterday on the chicken front - paid a visit to city hall to make sure my i's are dotted and t's are crossed before we start construction - wanted to be sure we don't need a permit for the coop (we don't, which I expected, but rather know before than after ....especially as we have moved into a bit of an overregulated area where common sense is not always that common) and get the scoop on the special "license" I'll need to have over the 3 bird limit. As I figured, it's more of a formality and a way for them to collect an extra $20 a year - they will come out and do a "site visit before they approve the application, but unless we have MAJOR health hazards in the way we are keeping the birds it'll be approved. I don't like having to have a license, but I'll jump through their hoops if that's what it takes -- I *could* just get the birds and hope to get by, but I'm the person that would get caught and end up in trouble so better to play by the rules from day 1 I suppose....besides, having already fired the first shot by complaining about the neighbor that was throwing dog poop into our yard I'm sure it won't be long before they would want to call in and report us for having too many birds.....so having the paperwork in place will be handy.

I feel ok so far..he has drove me nuts since he retired..I got him a job as greeter at walmart he wouldn't go..
