golden is recessive so both parent's have to be carrying at least one golden gene each.

normal royal is dominate. as in breed a royal to a solid and your guaranteed to get a trim. Breed to a trim and 50% chance of getting a royal and the very least is a trim .
Royal would be called incomplete dominance, since when there is only one gene, it is expressed, but not fully. Need 2 genes to get a full royal expressed, so not dominant or recessive... incomplete dominance.
 
Thank you both. I know Im a little crabby tonight . Tomorrow is Toms test to see IF he can be unblocked. We wont know anything.
I called about his transport chair yet again and got a different story so after begging them to bring it with no luck I got mad and called the dr. It will be here before we need to leave tomorrow
