Granny's gone and done it again

Phew. I am shamed to say that was a smelly gross mess. Just mucked out the coop - and what a muck it was. Between all the rain last weekend and getting home after dark...my poor girls.

It's now bare floor for now...want it to dry out a bit more before I plop fresh shavings in.

Now what I SHOULD be doing right now is I SHOULD be at the old house getting my clean on. Sigh. I just want a break for a few!!

lol  they do make a plastic one with screw on tops  no "flipping" involved   BUT   rod melted the  tops a bit with heat lamps  and I haven't tried/gotten them again

They are very expensive . I have heard the O ring goes out often but I wont ever know. LOL  Spring gets here I will be back to my oil pans.
They are expensive & I hate them. I have 2 that I don't use, you can have them if you want to try them out Pam. What I found was in the winter months when I kept them inside the coops is that if you didn't get them set PERFECTLY level they would continue to run the whole 3 gallons on my coop floor. Couple times of losing 400 pounds of sand that had to be shoveled out of the coop & replaced with dry was enough for me. Besides I am pretty strong, but those screw caps were hard to get unscrewed. I litearly had to take it outside of the coop & with just the front of my shoes I would have to step on the water pan in order to unscrew them. I even put Vasoline on the O-ring to make it easier. Your welcome to them Hun if you want to try them.

Banty, she looks like a crested cream legbar.  If she has any Welsummer, she must be crossed with something.  Very cute!  I love those small crests.

I loved those books.  I has just taken an evolutionary anthropology class, and her stories brought it all to life!  Still have my copies out in the garage.  somewhere

Wow!  Are tensions thawing?   PBJ is the bomb! :D

Count me in. Crab #3.  Fell asleep at midnight, up at 3...   still trying to wake up.  Yesterday I missed the turn to go get #2.  :/   Not like there are a bunch of choices.  Shouldn't be sleep-driving.

Cool!  It's your time capsule.

Blackberry is the only jelly my boys like.  It goes great with peanut butter.  :p
When they have the marathons, I use the fundraising portion to do a mini chore...   bring in some firewood, change cage waters, put dishes away...   alleviates a lot of guilt that way.
What is the new show with Michelle Dockery called?
Interesting about the Welsummers.  Mine has gotten much tamer now that she is old.  Still doesn't want to be handled, but I might have to trim her spurs soon.

:hugs

???       standard of perfection???

My first Portuguese saying!   :D    Had to look it up.

CLB is on the left, she's on the right. She has been bred to lay olive eggs, so no, not a pure wellie.... She's from Sally.

I am going to need an Olive eggers, A lav or blue orpington, and a very dark layer...maybe a french copper marans...for sure.

Ill bbl.
It is time for me to go take the girls out for their evening playtime.
Be back in an hour or so...I like for them to finish filling up before I put them up for the night.
Ill get some more pics of them.

HI Camp!

Anything exciting happen today?

Nope. Cleaned the house this morning, now shopping with DD. Maurice's had the same $9.95 sale in store and I got two of the tanks that were sold out online. Then the lady face me an EXTRA discount so it was $17. And they're fancy tanks with chiffon and sequins! They're a size too big, but I think I can alter them. ;)

Oh! I forgot, yes something exciting did happen. The ducks have been locked up for a week and when I let then out today two of them flew laps around the pond! So hopefully now they'll be able to get away from predators.
