so I put my kettle of stock and "stuff" in the fridge last night and it was still warmish around noon. Hard to skim off excess fat if its still liquid. So it gets to spend another night in the fridge

Coulda just put it out in the cold ND air!

You wont buy a new one that dont. Its for the ice and water.

Like Twist said - yes you can. There was a filter (yeah EXPENSIVE!) in the fridge that was in the house when we bought it in 2011. Replaced it in 2013 with the rehab on the north building. No filter. No filter in my Dad's or in my inlaws.

That fridge was 4K.

I must be wrong. I looked at them just now on line and I Think mine is $1500.00

That is still more than I would pay for a refrigerator!

You don't have ME on FB. Of course there might be more than one reason for that. The first one I can think of is: I don't "do" FB

Bruce, Those fridges have ice and water and no filter ? I wish I could bypass this one. It cuts down til theres hardly any pressure til you buy a new one and they last me less then 6 months. The recommend every month. HA !
