Who gave you the idea that everyone is going to get it?
Epidemiologists create models and make predictions based on past epidemics. Like weather and climate models, accuracy is not always reliable. There will always be pockets of isolated people that won't be exposed, but this virus is so contagious they think it will work its way through the population, in the same way that we have grown used to living with influenza, which kills about 20,000 people every year. I don't know if they are taking the potential new treatments into consideration, but I am hopeful they will work.
