National Gathering! It's every two years. All the directors of every Methodist camp in the country go. The location moves around; this year it's in Texas. Two years ago it was St. Simon's island in ga.

He's a grulla

I thought grulla color was more gray than tan. He is a beautiful horse.

It is. His mom was a silver palomino, but his sire was the darkest grulla I've ever seen. If we clipped him he would probably be a whole lot darker; I think his fur gets lighter in the sun - like my hair!

Absolutely - that plus "Fresh air winter cat" -- that smell that a cat (or dog) brings in from outside on a cold winter's day/night, there is something uniquely wonderful about it, especially if it comes with just the faintest hint of hay (barn cats) and wood smoke!

Oh yes

I've learned to associate the smell of my neighbor's fireplace with winter, so whenever they burn stuff in it, "It smell like winter!"

It is snowing here. Not a ton but its sticking. I dont have steps off my porches, I have ramps. front and back. Tom got up fussing this day . Why dont anyone push the garbage down or tie it up Makes me mad ! Only he didnt say it that nice. I gave my usual response. ignore him. So he ties it and gets his coat and I break down and tell him the ramps are all icy . He gives his normal HUMPH .. and off he goes. Now Im not going to miss this so as soon as the door closes I am there with my nose pressed against the glass. Sure enough, WHEEE......... He didnt fall thank goodness but it was definitely worth the trip to watch him learn how to ice skate . I ran back to my chair and he come in, gave me a look and not a word was spoken. BTW, Its his job to take the garbage out.

You need to learn how to use the video function on the camera!

I know what I found but dont remember the name of it. Very long skinny beak. round, ground bird
