Granny's gone and done it again

I want some sourdough bread with real butter & Parmesan cheese toast.
One of my favorite things! Sprinkle a little garlic powder on that and you have instant garlic toast. yummy!

Habari ya asubuhi (this morning's greeting in honor of all the times I asked my children, "Am I speaking Swahili?")

A beautiful PNW day here -- just warm enough to give false hope that spring is here, lol. Got up and out early to tidy the yard (sounds more fun than "scoop the poop") and do more thinking on the coop plans.......I think I am set on a location and general plan, then DH stopped by to drop off some lumber from his work (not for the coop

but still for something he's building for me, so I forgave him, lol) so I showed him what I was thinking and while he is completely on board with the location and general plan I laid out he says, "Well, in that case maybe you want to go with the other coop you had picked out." ........... so, kind of back to square one on just what we are building -- just a matter of whether its more an a gable type building or a lean-to look, but that's kind of an important decision that has to be made before any supplies or actual building can take place.....it's the style I wanted when I took the two options to DH/FIL and they talked me into the other one

. I did tell him that I intended to have the $$$ ready to go next week so he'd better start getting a real plan in place to get started on construction, not sure he expected that but I'd love to have it done and get my chicks by the end of February so........

Just sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for my mom to get here -- not sure what we're going to do today, but sure we'll figure out something. She's bringing her friend, Sharon, with her so maybe we'll go out to lunch or something.........IDK.........
Spoiled for choice!

The most wonderful curse there is. Both of my coops are lean-to types... works better with our weather and so much easier to build.

Poor peepers, if only we knew someone with svart honas who could ship eggs or chicks across state lines...

Oh dear, if we could just think of someone!!!

Twist, Im afraid I wont get "better" as far as you needing to pray for the long standing sickos so you might as well get used to it. I have a feeling that if I was healthy as a horse I would still need your prayers. LOL

Morning. Still is here. We got home after 10 last night. Nice visit, but emotionally draining. Hubs and I are tennis fans (we met on a tennis court) and the Australian Open men's final was on last night. The 2 playing were older guys (champions) who should be past their prime, but managed to beat everyone and make it to the final match. It was probably the last chance to see these rivals play each other in the finals of a major tournament, so we stayed up to watch. It started at 12:30 am!

It was epic!!! At least that's what hubs told me because I slept through most of it!

Anyway, Roger Federer won (yay!) against Rafael Nadal. Federer has won more major tournaments than of the men. He is legendary! Hubs went to bed at 4:30am. oy. He just got up!

sis just called. I'm here, but slow.
