Was reading an article about increased earthquake risk there.
Also made some defenders from hardware cloth scraps.

Ah. I had read something recently about increased risk. Something like there is a 70% chance of a 7.4 or greater in 30 years. duh. It's hard to get excited when they are predicting the obvious. When the big 1906 San Francisco quake of hit, more death and destruction per capita occurred 60 miles north up here in Sonoma county. Rogers creek fault runs right under the county seat, town of Santa Rosa, with pop about 165,000 unprepared souls.

The San Andreas runs through our part of the woods too. There are always stories of the big one floating around. I know all you Californians know that too.
