Granny's gone and done it again

I will never understand what millions of people see in frozen FFs. There just gross. Yet I eat them . Cause Im lazy. I would have my fried taters any day over those. Of course they need an onion , bacon grease and an iron skillet
I do oven fries. Wash and slice, stick in a bowl with a little oil (I use olive) and put in the refrigerator for an hour or so (not sure why) then bake on a cookie sheet at 400° for about 1/2 hour. Time depends on how thick you cut them and how "done" you like them.

I have never made FFs. Except frozen . What do you season with ?

I think I only have the table saw and my sawzall That would gum them up ?
I think the sawzall would be safer. Might want to boil the blade first. And you need some way to hold that roll down, don't want to lose any fingers ... yours or your able assistant's.
