Very creative steps!

Arent boys supposed to love mamas cooking ?
Only if Mama's cooking is edible ;)

LOL Maybe they will clean my algae
If they do you must have a different kind of algae than I do because I don't see that happening here.

Tree roots the size of my forearm or bigger growing thru the drain tiles.
this was from the trees that used to be in the blvd just west of the motel.
Since the street trees are gone can we HOPE that those are OLD roots and they won't grow back?
Is the drain tile pipe thick PVC or the "corrugated" thin plastic stuff? If the former they should be able to clean it out with a drain auger. That would probably get all caught up in the "folds" of the other kind.

AND USPS at their finest. :he:rant

Doesn't say when it left England, only that it was "preparing shipment" on the 18th.
And it didn't arrive at USPS IMPORT until "we don't know when". No idea how long things hang around the governments import checking area.

Does seem like they could first ship from Chicago to somewhere closer to the final destination.

nope heartworms are from eating poo and such.
Granny set you straight :D Additionally the nasty things inside the mosquito can't live if the temp goes below 57°F which is why there is much less heartworm in colder states (unless brought up in an animal from a warmer area).
(Photo Credit: CDC Public Health Image Library) So, let us continue to follow the young heartworm's development inside the mosquito who has taken it in with a blood meal. Within the mosquito's body, the microfilariae will develop to L2’s and finally to L3’s, the stage capable of infecting a new dog. How long this takes depends on the environmental conditions. In general, it takes a few weeks. A minimum environmental temperature of 57 degrees F is required throughout this period. The process goes faster in warmer weather but if the temperature drops below 57 degrees, the mosquitoes will die and no heartworms can be transmitted.

Java ferns are supposed to taste yucky
I wouldn't know, I've never eaten them. When I clear extras out they go in the compost. If they like your aquarium, you will have more than plenty of them in a couple of months. And it isn't like I do anything special for them.
