So what is the answer to so many animals starving on the streets. I know we do all we can but its not enough .

Problem is even if the resources are available, people may not take advantage. I mean peach came from a place where half feral dog packs were a pretty standard thing.

That would help pay for those free spays
They offer them now or low cost to poor folk like me . Believe me I have researched this. They dont make it easy on you and sometimes the animals are mistreated by them using lower cost ways to fix them.

Thing is too...some breeders and some rescues are also super picky about who their dogs go to. I’ve heard of cases of people getting denied because they work full time for cryin out loud. Which makes people flock to the less scrupulous.

Don’t get me wrong. A breeder *should* be concerned where their pups are going. Put a Belgian malenois in a tiny apartment with a beginner owner and you’re not going to have a good time. But they also need to be realistic and realize not everyone fits in the same mold. Yes I work. Yes hubs does too. But I would put the quality time/training/mental and physical stimulation any dog of mine gets vs say neighbors with the 9 dogs anyway.

I wonder if vets had a tax break for so many spays a year if that would help too? I mean, they make good money and I dont see how they couldnt do so many a yr .
