So a while ago I made a very angry post about some supposed "Easter Egger" chicks that we had bought from our local Bomgaars that seemingly turned out to be Golden Comet roosters.
Fast forward to a few months later, and I am so embarrassed.
We watched them mature with baited breath; but after months none of them showed any rooster-ish characteristics (Except for one of them, Rhea, who has a huge comb for some reason). Eventually we decided that they weren't Golden Comet roos after all but some other random breed that we couldn't identify.
And then we found it.
I was doing the chickens for the night; you know, counting them, gathering eggs, hugs and kisses, the whole deal.
But what I saw in the nesting box made my jaw DROP.
It was a GREEN EGG.
Yes, that's right. Those "roosters" we had been scammed out of our money for were actually EASTER EGGERS.
I don't think I've ever been happier to be wrong in my entire life.
So, yeah. Now we get green eggs every so often from our lovely Easter Egger hens: Rhea (Huge comb), Lizzie (Very cute), Loaf (She looks like bread), and Blondie (Very yellow). We are super happy to have them and they've been fitting in super well with our other hens now; truly a wonderful addition to our flock.
All of them lay green/blue eggs, except for Loaf, who lays normal cream colored eggs (Just discovered that today).

I'll try to get some pictures soon so y'all can see them.
They look kinda similar to Golden Comets, except a bit brighter. They also vary in patterns a lot more: some are mottled, some are a gradient, and some are splashed. They look really cool and I highly recommend picking them up if you're looking for some hens that lay cool eggs.
Though I don't know the official name of the breed.
