Hey there

Someone mentioned ice plants yesterday to keep soil from eroding; might even have been you.
Are they like ground cover, in that they spread, or do they not send out runners?

Wasn't me, but it spreads like crazy, mostly runners I think. Succulent type plant, grows wild all along the coast. It dies back in the frost (no snow here). It's good for covering rock poor ground too.

That is a cultivated type. Will look solid pink when it's at its height. very pretty

I bought some bare root and it didnt make it. . Rocky clay soil. But I know its supposed to be hardy and like it dry. Probably my black thumb

Terrible rocks here. Can hardly dig. I always think of Maryland as low and lush delta land. I was born there (Pax River NAS) but have never seen it. Would love to see the east coast some day.

Lots of rocks here too but I love rocks. I dug up a couple brain rocks here. One whole . sea shells in the rocks too. very cool.
