Granny's gone and done it again

Something different this morning.. Went out with the regular lawn mower and bagger to do the front yard. It's not big, but I've been working hard to get it looking nice. A shot from before buying, to now.. which is just over a year's time.View attachment 2256707
April last year. Note, the jungle came all the way up to the tree down at the bottom of the stairs opposite where I was standing. There was no landscaping at all around the house.

This be it after my morning mow and a bit of weed pulling. All those little plants on this side of the walking stones are violas.. Pretty little blooms in the spring.

The mail lady had to bring a package up to the front deck once not long ago and commented on the place. She said you would never have know there was a little piece of paradise to be found looking at the place before I bought it.

I have a couple of 5 gallon buckets of mossy green paint left over from the last place I had. I'm gonna start in on the painting late this fall. What do you think of
Are you sure you want green with a red roof?

OMG what a night. cramps all over the place. including the top of my foot. I was going to try and mow the back yard before Mother Nature turned on the incinerator. NOPE Walking like a gimped up Tim Conway's old man character.
You need electrolytes.

we began to fail when parents became increasingly not responsible/involved in day to day raising their children, and schools had to take up the slack.

when we live in a world where you need the dual income household just to get by...so raising your kids goes to daycares/babysitters/school...
Keeps her mouf shuts...
Lol. All these darned millennial parents....

But you can both work and keep tabs on and provide for your own kids. We only had 2 because that was doable for us. It's irresponsible to expect others to do your parenting is how I feel.

Okay, Gator is bugging me.. it's getting dark outside and he is reminding me it's bed time. Night all.
Early to bed ....

actually this was with out and then with zoom, I think I can get it to zoom in closer yet.
Careful with the digital zoom. Once you get past the optical zoom it duplicates pixels to make the image larger. The more you zoom the fuzzier the picture will be.

That's right! Everybody in favor of Twist quitting vaping/smoking, say AYE. Aye! 😆
And Granny!
AYE!

Twist, When I throw it in the garbage the next corned beef he gets will come out of his pocket .
Doesn't it mostly come out of his pocket anyway?

Sheep to stupid and I didn't want to have to mess with shearing.
There are hair sheep, they shed so no shearing. Don't know if they are smarter than wool sheep or not.

Trying to get #2 all set up before he heads back to school next month. Nothing like waiting til the last minute!
NEXT month? That doesn't start for over a week. Not close to "last minute" yet.

At least you didn’t drop the camera down the well.
Oh that would be SO sad!

Darn, I keep forgetting to look for the comet!
I can't see it, at least not unless I go somewhere. It is too low on the horizon and is blocked by the trees.

My coffee pot, counter, cup ALL filled w/ ants . I sprayed them w/ pam but now its a huge mess over there.
Why the heck would you be spraying oil all over the place?

Pigs have cloven hooves but don't chew the cud, bunnehs chew the cud but don't have cloven hooves, so both are in the unclean category.
So fish are unclean? They don't chew cud.

I cleaned the counters and every thing sitting on them and didnt wash dishes. Ants still coming out from under the pot.
Water, sugar and borax. Put it in a dish on the counter and let the ants take it back to the nest where everyone dies.

and Dark chocolate.
:th

And then there's the bunch of "everybody is a winner" and "you get a prize just for trying" which belittles those doing exceptionally well.
And those that didn't put out much effort know they didn't but got accolades for slacking. Yep, good lesson.

Cord of wood here is $40.-$50.00
Dry hardwood?? Wow, that is SUPER cheap.

And while underpaid, the cost of daycare pretty much means that after taxes one of the parents is basically working for nothing.
