Granny's gone and done it again

CS, Storing that in plastic bags might cause mildew /mold. That can make your chickens pretty sick. Have you had new babies before ?
yes she's right and like hay put in not all dried, can cause spontaneous combustion
Yups, Duly aware.. I used to cut, rake and bale hay to keep my own herd fed. I've already win rowed the grass so air gets underneath and dries it out even more. It's shrinking by the second in the Alabama sun! I keep a close eye on bedding and what's in the coop in general. Grass in the hen house gets an over lay once every few days (smells so great) and rolled up/removed about every 5-6 days. That which is on the dirt in the coop gets raked back up weekly and stuck in the compost heap.

this looks a lot better than some homemade claptrap cobjob porches I have seen--and a getaway vehicle in times of flood
I want to clean up and redo my porches. They are nasty from the cats and I cant afford new cushions again. They ruin them. Need a chair they wont care to lay on.
