Granny's gone and done it again

The other 3 hens with Bruiser were responding to her, but none of them have laid an egg.. Maybe she was just announcing the arrival of an egg.. I need to check her today for broodiness.
Its just her first egg. She wont be broody

no, they stop laying when they go broody. Doesnt really have anything to do w/ the roo. except if the eggs are fertile or not. IF she wants to go broody she will lay til she figures she has enough eggs then start sitting on them. Other hens will try to lay in her nest though giving a staggered or failed hatch w/ those eggs. Its best to mark the eggs that are being set on and remove the others as their laid
Aha, so if I leave the one egg, she'll add an egg a day until she has what she thinks is enough and then sit them?

What should I do with them if I save them.. i.e., where do I keep them?
in an egg carton in a cool dark place/closet and turn them every day . Tilt them from side to side. Make sure the fat end is up. You can hold them for 10 days
