Granny's gone and done it again

Morning Granny. I've been up for hours. Very smokey in the house and I have been breathing through a wet wash cloth and shopping for air purifiers since dark-thirty.
At least it has cooled down quite a bit and there's moisture in the air. Almost 90 inside last night, so no way we could keep it closed up. I am waiting for the perfect breeze to clear out the house and close it back up.

What's on your agenda today?
Ooh, hack hack! I would have to evac on account of the smoke! Take care, Wishing!

Yes! What a relief. And we have it opened now to cool down. There is still tons of smoke, but but for now it is very high up.
It flooded the entire valley this afternoon, could barely see the hills. I finished watering and came in as quick as I could... then took a little nap. Had been awake since 3am.

My brother had one of these when we were kids. Put peanuts in his hat, a cup on his tray, turn the crank and voila! Fresh peanut butter! yummy...

Wonder if we still have it somewhere. Probably. I come from a long line pack rats!

Haha! That would be the only way to keep a single goat. They don't do well alone. I can't see Robert sharing his bed with one, though!

It's ALWAYS spellcheck's fault! ;)
When we were getting ready to move from TN to FL I had sold all the goats but one buck. We had a German Shepherd, and she and the goat became great pals and played together a lot.

Cleaned out Henri and Sweetpea's coop. Also changed out the shavings and added some dried good smelling grass on top. Sweetpea was watching me the whole time, wondering what I was doing.. Also managed to get the barrel on a better tilt so water wouldn't run in from the open end.
Sure has settled down in Bruiser and crew's coop. Ya really think me hollering at him had some effect? Milly and Molly actually get to eat from their feed pan without being harrassed by Bruiser or Maggy now. Something that puzzles me is Molly loves to be next to Charlie. He lays next to the netting with Henrietta, and Molly will lay right next to them on the other side of the netting. I would put her in there with them, but Henrietta is not so keen on the other hens being around her mate.
