possible problem with pinching the tubing, would be increase pressure on the pump which will cause it to work harder and possible kill the pump or in extreme case start a fire.

IF you have extra tubing , you could try poking a hole in the hose start with a SMALL hose that should let some of the "excess" air out. NOT a great solution but might work until you get to walmart and get a multiple splitter.
