Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind eating a dog... or a chicken. The only chicken I wouldn't have eaten was Peep, but NOW I realize what a waste of meat that would have been. Once it's dead, I'll eat my chickens. Lucky for me Peep was sick when she died, so we couldn't have eaten her anyways.

Don't get me wrong I like and enjoy chickens love to just watch them BUT maybe it's just the mercenary part in me hard to consider spending money on expensive meds or vet bills for a bird I paid less then 3 bucks for. Even with the dogs and Yaks there is a point of to expensive as no matter how much I love (dogs) like them they are still animals.

Could also have something to do with having over 100 chickens all the time hard to "bond" with just one or a few.

howdy all, rough start this am, CB missed the bus so I took him and went to get meds. still raining.

Don't get me wrong I like and enjoy chickens   love to just watch them   BUT   maybe it's just the mercenary part in me hard to consider spending money  on expensive meds or vet bills for  a bird I paid less then 3 bucks for.   Even with the dogs  and Yaks  there is a point of to expensive  as no matter how much I love (dogs) like them they are still animals.  

That's why I didn't take Chrissy to the vet.
