Granny's gone and done it again

I learned on a manual too. Right foot only for acc and brake. Left for clutch. My mom said NEVER use your left for brake. No trouble on my driver test because I was using a manual!

I always have problems switching back to automatic after driving a stick. Stomp a hole in the floor trying to push that missing clutch pedal when coming to a stop!
Hilarious ! hahahaahaa

<Raises hand> Learned to drive on a manual also. Taught my kids to drive a stick, too. Not this litter, though.

:frow I will gladly take any unwanted rain. Send it west!
Yup, you guys and Colorado could sure use it. My dad used to take us boating, camping, fishing in the Grand Lake, Granby area. Hate to see the devastation of all those fires out west.

Don't know that I could ever drive from that side of the car on the opposite side of the road.
It's not as hard as it seems since the yellow line stays on the driver's side. Sometimes turns are tricky making sure you get in the proper lane. And in emergencies, your reflexes will send you in the wrong direction. (I learned that from a Brit friend driving over here!) The hardest thing for me was judging how wide the car was on my left. Thankfully a curb kept me on the road.
As a lefty, I'm mixed up to begin with, so it's hard either way!

Yes. I thought it was a survival skill they should have, like being able to swim. Might never use it, but might need to one day.
I am old and wanting my conveniences... automatic and ac were bliss after my first little no frills car.

Pert, I feel like I would be right at home. Left handed, I am always doing things backwards.
:highfive: My lefty sister!! Remember when we were driving around? It wasn't "turn right" or "turn left." It was "this way" or "that way." We knew what it meant instantly!

I have to think about which is left vs right. When I did driver's ed, had to wear a ring on my right hand. Instructor said turn right, my brain went through right goes with ring, that's the right side! I would always tap the steering wheel with the ring.
