Granny's gone and done it again

Do they all hatch at the same time?

I guess I should research this topic some.

But I tend to not want to research stuff til I actually need to know it.
lol

sorta , no. put them all in at the same time depends on egg size, where they sat in the bator, warm spots. In a perfect world yes, Normal is over a day or 2 .

There is nothing in my house that is close to 50 or 60 degrees.

Let's say I wanted to hatch some eggs from my "horse chickens"...13 production red hens with 1 california white rooster and 1 cuckoo marans rooster.
Just for the heck of it....

Would I gather the eggs..I could gather 10 plus in one day..then "store" them for ten days then put them in a bator?

I'm having trouble with this store idea....i have no idea how I would store eggs at that temp.

I would probably gather all eggs the same day and put them straight to the bator

no, put them in. storing is for collecting. If you only get one a day you store. and a closet or basement works

You want a hundred eggs?? Because that's 10x10. You don't have to store them unless you're collecting a clutch. They won't start to develop until they reach incubation temps.

Try the back of your pantry or bottom of your closet. Cool dark place. I leave mine on the kitchen counter.

no no not a hundred eggs...
i meant i can collect at least ten eggs in one day from these chickens...

i was wondering if i had to store these ten eggs for ten days.

I am still not ready for a bator.
Just asking questions.

BTW...what do you think I would end up with with these breeds.
All production red hens and the cali boy and cuckoo boy?

Camping, That vet moved here in 98 from your state. Totally bugging me because I have seen him somewhere before. ( ya, I know, small town) But have had an encounter with him but never been to that vet office. It is actually a house turned vet
