Granny's gone and done it again

Great. Then your discs are not in that bad of shape yet. Unless they are pressing against your spinal cord.

They're in bad shape. Nearly fused and I suffer from daily pain but they've been doing MRIs to measure the space for spinal fluid. My neck is bent in the wrong direction now.

Do you have spondylosis in your neck and spine? My cervical spine is flattening so it's hard to hold my head up and straight. It isn't fun living with a perpetually stiff neck.

Also do you have degenerative disc disease? Got that too throughout my spine which is why I haven't been around the last few days. Felt bad. Neck and shoulders stiff and sore, blah blah blah. I've spent most of the day on the sofa just relaxing and sleeping. I finally took my as needed pain meds yesterday and felt pretty darned normal for me for a change. Getting out of bed in the morning is a kick in the head but once up and enjoying an infusion of coffee the early morning pain diminishes to a tolerable level.

I'm facing the reality of downsizing my flock. No plans to send anybody to freezer camp as I love this flock of birds but I don't need any more chickens and I'm not replacing any birds that die from this point on. My plans are to have a dozen laying hens and a few roosters. My RA and Osteo isn't going to get better, only worse. Face it guys, getting old isn't for sissies and getting old with RA and degenerative disc disease makes it even more a challenge.

Take care, Cluck and rest assured, you aren't alone! :hugs
