it called for a cup of walnuts WELL I had a partial bag of walnuts and a partial bag of pecans together they came out to a cup total so I went with that.

Mine are sore just from typing. I remember how much you have to stir fudge. No way I could do that now.

only thing I did not do/measure were the eggs I had one large/ex lg and 5 pullets(pee wees) for the called for 3 eggs.

I know its an old recipe as it calls for "spry" and they stopped making that years and years and years ago. Was a major competitor of Crisco.

Never heard of spry. Never cooked with crisco. Because that would involve cooking.
I'm sure you measured everything... no one's perfect. At least not all the time!
