nope you roll them in to a tube shape inside the wax paper and chill then slice and put on the cookie sheet and bake.

I actually prefer walnuts. Especially with chocolate. Pecans are very mild, not always sure what I'm eating. That's what makes them such good saboteurs, though!

so I attempted an old cookie recipe I found BUT something is NOT quite right.

Walnut Refrigerator cookies you mix them up and roll in wax paper and then bake the next day. OMG sticky mess so far.

Maybe remove zee wax paper before baking, ya?

they were sticky coming out of the mixing bowl after chilling for hours and sticky on the sil-pat I used to try and roll them in to tubes/logs.

Maybe they need more flour.
