What kind do I need next, Cap? My 2-yos are EEs and my spring chickens are BAs. Everyone is peaceful. I don't want any that go broody, but I like dual-purpose. I want good layers and something that look different from what I already have. Not Leghorns or anything skittish like that. What do you suggest? Not BO, they were way too broody, though sweet.

How about Black Copper Marans? They lay a dark chocolate colored egg.

Granny, I think you should sell the tank if you have no room in your house. At a dollar a gallon, that's a nice piece of change. You might not get quite that much, but it's worth a shot.
