Granny's gone and done it again

I just keep telling myself that I am lucky. There are people in the world who are suffering more than I am. I can still take care of my chickens, I can still go for walks in the woods with my husband and dogs. I can still take care of the house with his help. I may be moving slower and more carefully, I may have to lie down on the sofa for an hour or so a day and depend on prescription pain killers, but I can still do some of the things that I love to do. I am blessed!
You are blessed! I can't walk much any more bc of this bad ankle and I really miss that. I try to walk the loop around the house whenever I can, though. I can still get up and down the stairs from my bedroom, and I can get out to the chickens at least once a day. And I can cook for my family. It's a bit of a family joke, that I cook TOO MUCH and we always have leftovers. It's hard to scale back and only cook for three! But GirlChild works from 4 to midnight so she hardly ever eats with us any more, lol! 🤣 So yes, our worlds do get smaller and harder to manage but at least there are some things we can do and for that we can be grateful.

We had the ground hog day blizzard back in the early 20-teens that dumped 19 inches on us. When I was growing up I can remember 22 inches.

The Ground Hog day blizzard left 7 foot tall drifts in front of our house. We have a movie of the road commission clear the road several days later. It was an amazing thing to see a big road tender have trouble breaking through.

I cant do any of those things. I do my best to walk through wal mart and cry later because I have to but I couldnt take care of my chickens any more.
I believe I need better diagnoses tests run. I know I have 3 different kinds of arthritis by a bone density test. I know I have nerve damage by a nerve conduction study. Thats about it.
But you have your beautiful fish, and you are so knowledgeable about them, and you take such good care of them! I had three goldfish in a horse trough!

were you stuck at church?
No but two or three of our members spun out and ended up in the ditch. I have driven in snow many times in Colorado and New Mexico, but this was the first time I was truly scared. It was white-out, couldn't see, wipers freezing, no traffic, 10-foot visibility, slip-slide icy wet conditions.

Ach = achilles tendon?
yes, It popped when I was trying to lift my mom. He finished cutting it and put anchors in my bone to try and hold it. Constant pain from there. He was supposed to remove the spurs while he was there and didnt. He got fired.
